The model matching algorithm has a few flaws, namely that it refuses to take the callsign into consideration. Don't expect them to be fixed; I've been asking Joel and now Brian for months.
Cheers!

Or? it also has alot to do with people not setting up the proper airline and model right to.
Use the .cheat model in the chat window sometime.
Should've been something that was brought up in the PRC for sure. |

I disagree. If your callsign is DAL, AAL, etc. there is no reason whatsoever for SB3 to display you as a VIP model.
Cheers!

I disagree, because if you say your flying for DAL but useing a plane they don't have in the real world you will show up as a VIP. Only real world info was programmed in to the model set infomation |

While only real world information may have been plugged into VIP3 (which makes sense), it still doesn't explain the problems I repeatedly run into.
I have VIP3, and then the Delta Virtual custom model set installed. For common aircraft types such as the 757 or 767, there are approximately 5 liveries available for a Delta aircraft just in my custom set, plus the generic Delta NNC available in VIP3. Even so, I am still guaranteed to see at least one (if not more) VIP 757 or 767 each time I log onto VATSIM that is Delta traffic.
It's broken, because the callsign isn't being taken into account.
Cheers!

Well I've used the .cheat model string with a flight using the BAW callsign but showing as Air Canada livery.
And the entry showed as Air Canada.
And that's not the only time I've seen it.

I don't doubt it. But that's a complete non-sequitur.
Cheers!
