Erm, yeah, pretty much so yes. I run liveupdate when it asks me. Last time it asked me though, it kept asking, 'cause one thing wouldn't download.

I personally think that we're looking in the wrong field here, I doubt it's Norton to be hoenst, because even getting rid of the firewall, it doesn't connect. I'm hoping I don't have to open ports on my router or something, 'cause that's always a hassle and it never works, it seems.

And anyway. I presume SB in ext mode connects through the same ports as in module mode, so.

I am not so sure John... Another user had disabled his McAfee firewall and that did not fix it for him. But Uninstalling McAfee did.

Have you the disks to hand? Are you willing to try an uninstall to test?

It works! Thank you VERY much. I'll reinstall Norton and see if it works then.

Hmm, now Norton thinks it'll just block ANY communication outside of my computer when running, unless I disable it of course. Which I've had to do now, and I'm using Sygate, but that conflicts with FSNet, so that'll have to be sorted.

OK, Delighted it is at least working for you....

There are just so many factors with Software firewalls and hardware firewalls... One day, I hope that a standard will appear Smile

I've managed to get Norton working somehow, it just started working even with the firewall on, the internet works. So that's good. Proper chuffed now.

'Cept intrusion detection won't turn on, it says my account might be restricted or something. Whatever.

Thank you very much for your assistance, very happy with the frame rate now Smile
