|
|
Hi All,
Hoping someone can help as I've so far failed to manage to get a button (on goflight hardware as it happens) to work as the IDENT with SB3. The button os only assiedn in fsuipc, nowhere else.
my setup is:
Sim PC running fs2004, fsuipc and widefs and all connected flightsim hardware;
Widefs is v6.5.1
fsuipc is 3.6.0
laptop running wideclient and SB3.
The PTT switch works fine, as do comm radio changes and changing from standby to Mode C etc. What doesn't work is the IDENT Button I have setup.
In FSUIPC via Buttons I have set up the "offset byte togglebits" as per sb3 guide to x7b93 and a parameter of x01.
This seems to work as far as the local hardware goes, with gfdisplay even shows "IDENT" on the unit, but nothing in terms of SB3......hence the problem.
Is there something else I need to do to get the offset etc from the sim pc onto the widefs client wher sb3 is running? I'd be very grateful for any thoughts/advise on how I can do this, as this is the last thing I need to complete the setup as intended.
Many thanks indeed.

| Did you ever get this resolved? I am looking a doing the same thing. One T8 Switch to allow for a "standby" and "Mode C" toggle, and then a single P8 button to allow for the "SQ. Ident" function.... |

OK !! I got it. at least as far as the logging is telling me. Instead of using the togglebits function, I figured why not directly write the bit in?
so here it is
1 T8 switch ( down position ) is set to:
[when button is pressed] = Offset Byte Set x7b91 x01 therefore "UP" = Mode C
[when button is released] = Offset Byte Set x7b91 x00 therefore "DOWN" = Standby
1 P8 button is set to :
[when button is pressed] = Offset Byte Set x7b93 x01 therefore when button is pushed generates an IDENT
box is also checked to "Conrol to repeat when held"
[when button is released] = Offset Byte Set x7b93 x00 therefore when the button is released, the IDENT is cleared.
That should have it.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work across widefs....the ident is not recognised by SB3 which runs on a separate system to fs2004 and the go flight hardware.
So still hoping for some answers as to how I could maybe achieve that.. |
