I have never used Vatsim before. If flying UK airport to UK airport, say between 10am and 12 mid day, would I be almost guaranteed a voice controller to direct me in and out of these airports, or is a different time better for the UK, or is a different location better for the morning time of flight. I have sat and listened as an observer and the voice was fascinating and realistic, but there were so many airports including EGLL, where there was just silence.
I suppose my question is - what is the best time and what is the best airport to airport combination for me to be almost guaranteed voice comunication throughout?
Thanks and appologies if this is a stupid question.

Hi,
You must remember that most of the 'controllers', may it be ground, approach or any other, hold a position in their spare time. It is difficult to predict where and when they will operate. A good indication is to check the 'VATSIM' or 'VAT-UK' website for a daily diary of positions held. A good time to fly is generally during the weekend and evenings are popular too...
Enjoy and take care. |

Download Servinfo that will show you where every pilot and controller on the network is connected.
